Transformation Through Mothering

Claiming our sacred power as mothers to transform ourselves and the world.

The Disconnected Domination Culture (DDC) peddles the lie that mothering is worthless, and that mothering consists of giving up our needs and feeling powerless and guilty.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Mothering is profoundly sacred, important and valuable.

As mothers, we have so much power.

Honouring our needs, reclaiming our power and getting free from guilt are part of freeing ourselves from the DDC, supporting our children, and changing the paradigm.

Do you feel called to further your journey?

Mothering invites us on a journey of transformation

Becoming a mother invites us to transform from Maiden to Mother. Yet the actual process of being a mother is the journey from Mother to Maga, to a woman rooted in her love, her power, her belonging and her interconnectedness.

Becoming a mother invites us to connect with our deepest values, as we connect with which parenting paradigm resonates most with us. Living that paradigm is what calls us to free ourselves from our own cultural conditioning around what being a mother means.

As we love and listen to our children, we are invited to love and listen to ourselves. As we support their growth and development, we are invited to develop too. As we tend to their needs and feelings, we are invited to tend to our own needs and feelings, and those of the younger parts of us. As we help them stay connected with their Soul, we're invited to live from our own Soul.

Power and Love

Mothering invites us to reclaim our true power as women and mothers.

Our power to say a big NEO NO to what we're not willing for.

Our power to transform guilt into self-compassion & willingness.

Our power to change the culture from the inside.

Our power to reclaim sacred sisterhood.

Our power to uphold compassion for our children.

Our power to honour mothers and revere Mother Earth.

Sharing the love...

Mary

For years I secretly considered Marion Rose my personal mothering mentor. She was the person I looked to when I felt shaky in my mothering journey. In my early years of being a mother- the hardest years for lots of reasons- I read everything she shared, then participated in a couple of her short courses. It’s been five years since I first discovered her work and its been the single most transformative resource I’ve come across. I so desperately wanted to mother from a space of love and compassion and yet, when things got tough (as they so often do), I would find myself resorting to old ways. It has been Marion’s constant presence, her steadfast commitment to supporting mothers and the generous emphasis she places on compassion for where we are at, and whatever we are doing, that has helped me find my way through. So many people focus on telling us what to ‘do’. It is with gratitude and relief that I turn to Marion’s work again and again, and the reminder that I can trust myself. From Marion I’ve learned that mothering is about extending compassion to myself first of all, remembering that my children’s true nature is love, and that we are part of a cultural shift that will value parenting, trust children and help create a new loving paradigm in the world.

The TTM course is amazing, thank you!

About me!

I've been passionate about the power of mothering way before I became a mother - did a Ph.D. on post-natal depression and the mother-baby relationship at Cambridge University in the early 90's, where I learnt so much about birth and parenting.

Paradoxically, I was in a bastion of colonisation, yet I was learning all about more indigenous ways of birthing and being with babies and children. This combined passion for deep understanding through research, training, lived experience, and an understanding of the history of the colonised domination culture, continues to this day.

I have transformed since I became a mother in 2002. My birthing experiences showed me how powerful I am. From being full of guilt and self-judgment, I freed myself from guilt and my inner dialogue is now deeply compassionate.

I've been walking alongside mothers since 2001, first in HypnoBirthing, then Aware Parenting, then Calmbirth, then my own Marion Method work and I am in awe of the transformations I've seen over the years.

The time is ripe for us to reclaim our true power as mothers, and to not only transform our children's lives but also to change the paradigm itself.

Are you with me?
