Is your 2-8 year old child often unwilling to cooperate with toothbrushing?
Are you often feeling frustrated, and have you tried to get them to cooperate in ways that you regret?
Do you end up feeling powerless, and simply give up? (and then worry about their teeth?).
Is toothbrushing becoming a battle of wills, and you see it affecting your connection with your child?
Are you longing for more ease, harmony, and cooperation with toothbrushing?
I created the Helping Your Child Cooperate with Toothbrushing Course (based on Aware Parenting principles and practices) because I know that there really is another way, and I love supporting parents with this very different way.
Rather than feeling frustrated, using power over, giving up (and worrying about your child's teeth), or feeling super disconnected because you've been in a toothbrushing battle again, there IS another way.
Aware Parenting, which was created by Aletha Solter, PhD, is different from many other parenting paradigms because it recognises the true reasons for a child's lack of cooperation, and offers ways to respond to each of those reasons to help a child return to their innate desire to cooperate.
It is an attachment-based and trauma-informed approach.
The course not only includes the everyday reasons why children might not be willing to cooperate with toothbrushing. It also includes the extra reasons why this might happen for children who have had traumatic experiences related to their mouth, such as traumatic dentist experiences, tongue tie revisions, or medical procedures, including as a newborn baby.
I've been an Aware Parenting instructor for 20 years as of March 2025, and I've been practicing it for 23 years myself as a parent. In that time, I've supported thousands of parents and have seen many transformations in their children cooperating with toothbrushing.
But it's not only been about the cooperation that ensues. Relational ruptures and traumatic experiences have been healed from. Their relationships have strengthened. They've felt closer to their children, and their children have become more affectionate. Families have even found that toothbrushing becomes enjoyable, fun and connecting!
In this course, I'll share with you:
The three reasons why children don't cooperate with toothbrushing;
How to work out which one of these is affecting your child;
How to go through the list, one by one, finding both the cause and solution;
Detailed examples of each solution so you can actually put them into practice;
Particular suggestions for if you and your child have experienced conflict with toothbrushing;
Detailed examples of ways you can support healing for children who have experienced trauma related to their mouth;
Suggestions for ways of thinking that will support you to be able to do this.
All without threats, punishments, rewards, harshness, disconnection, or bribes!
The Mini Course is in the formats of videos, audios, and a PDF, so you can learn in the style that most suits you.
As soon as you sign up, you get access to it, so you can start the course straight away.
Imagine knowing what you might do to bring about cooperation with toothbrushing!
All you need to do is decide whether this is for you, and whether you're willing to sign up, which you can do by clicking on the button below.

This is helpful to parents who are completely new to Aware Parenting, as well as those who are already familiar with it.
This is the course I wish I'd had when my children were young.
It would have transformed our experiences, both in the short- and long-term.
It really is possible to have a different experience with toothbrushing, and I'm here to help!
